Dr. Biberdorf is a practicing developmental optometrist, a grant-funded Vision Scientist and a Fellow of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, an international non-profit association of eye-care professionals that provides board certification for eye doctors and vision therapists offering state-of-the-art services in: behavioral and developmental vision care, vision therapy, and visual rehabilitation. Dr. Biberdorf is the Director of Clinical Services at Advanced Neuro-Vision, LLC
Dr. Poltavski is a psychophysiologist with specialization in visual neuroscience. He is the Chief Research Scientist at Advanced Neuro-Vision, LLC and an Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of North Dakota. In his research Dr. Poltavski has utilized various electrophysiological methods of evaluation of the visual system while investigating an array of topics in relation to visual perception, higher cognitive functions, athletic performance and mTBI (concussion). He served as the Principle Investigator on a grant-funded project entitled “Evaluation of the Effectiveness of Sports Vision Programs in Improving Performance and Health in ND Youth Athletes” (Funding agency: ND Department of Commerce ) that led to the development of protocols used in our program.
Carolina Praus Poltavski is the Center's Optometric Vision Therapist and Sports Vision Trainer. Since 2010 Mrs. Praus Poltavski has been an active member of the Vision Therapy section of the College of Optometrists in Vision Development (COVD) and has completed a number of COVD-sponsored therapy modules. Mrs. Praus Poltavski was the primary therapist/trainer on our Research ND grant project that led to the establishment of our center. She has personally developed a number of training techniques currently used in our rehabilitation and Sports Vision Training Protocols.
